This 6 Day Gorilla and chimpanzee tracking safari is good for those who want to see the world' s great primates, the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. This trip takes you to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the buhoma region for gorilla tracking and then to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is considered to be the best park in the whole world offering gorilla trekking activity.
Day 01: Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to the Hotel
Day 02: Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 03: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 04: Drive back to Kibale Forest National Park for overnight
Day 05: Chimps trekking in Kibale National Park
Day 06: Drive back to Entebbe International Airport

DAY 2: Transfer from Kampala to BwindiYou will be picked by driver/guide from the hotel to start your 6 day gorilla and chimp trekking safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With stopover at the Uganda Equator crossing for photography in kayabwe and a lunch break in Mbarara town.
You will then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park because this is where gorilla trekking is currently taking place. This journey is very scenic as you have an opportunity to see the Kigezi rolling hills and valleys as you travel to buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive late afternoon for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi National ParkYou will wake up early in the morning and head to the park headquarters to join other clients for briefing about dos and don't s while with mountain gorillas on your trekking. After briefing, you will start your trek into the forest guided by guides. During your trek, you may encounter several birds, other animals and primates in the forest and once you have found the gorillas you will spend one hour with them and return back to the Lodge for overnight. Gorilla trekking can take 1 hour to 6 hours depending on the location of gorillas, so some fitness is required.

You will drive from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Kibale Forest National Park on this third day of your 6-day gorilla and chimp trekking safari. You will arrive late afternoon for Dinner and overnight since lunch will be served en route.

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park for a briefing about the dos and don'ts while with chimpanzees. After the briefing, you will start your trek into the forest with chances of seeing other 11 primates. You will spend one hour in the forest with guides for observation and photography. Afterward, return to the starting point for certificate awarding and proceed to the Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast and depending on your departure flight details, you will drive 6-7 hours to Kampala/Entebbe, marking the end of this 6-day gorilla and chimp safari in Uganda.
