This is a 7 days/6 nights safari with 2 nights at Victoria Falls, 2 nights in Chobe National Park and 2 nights in Okavango Delta.
Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met by our representative driver and be transferred to your lodge which is about 40 minutes away. This afternoon you can enjoy a lovely Sunset Cruise on the Mighty Zambezi River.
Today is at leisure and you can explore the Victoria Falls Rainforest at leisure.
Besides being one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a World Heritage Site, Victoria Falls is the unchallenged adventure capital of Africa with more than 50 activities available.
The Victoria Falls is considered to be the largest waterfall in the world. The Falls’ local name, Mosi-Oa-Tunya - "the Smoke that Thunders" - more accurately defines the essence of the place: the rising, shining spray that can be seen 30km away. See the mighty Zambezi River as it thunders over the 1700 meter wide Victoria Falls and plunges 100 meters into a narrow gorge below. The Victoria Falls is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, and travelers can access the falls through either the town of Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe side or from Livingstone in Zambia.
The morning you will have it at leisure and later you will be picked by your driver for your transfer across the border into Botswana which is about 2 hrs away. On arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge in Chobe National Park. You check in and can relax in your room before High Tea. You will then take an afternoon game drive but be back to the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.
Chobe National Park on Botswana’s North West border is a pristine wilderness of open plains, baobab trees, ancient woodland, swamps and flood plains and is home to the greatest concentration of game in the entire southern African subcontinent. One of Africa’s most beautiful rivers, the Chobe River forms the Park’s northern boundary. The Chobe riverfront area is most famous for its large herds of elephants and buffalo, which come down to the river in huge herds to drink during the dry winter months. During this season, one may see hundreds of elephants at one time. Other species include waterbuck, lechwe, puku (this is the only part of Botswana where they can be seen), giraffe, kudu, roan and sable, impala, warthog, bushbuck, monkeys and baboons, along with the accompanying predators - lion, leopard, hyena and jackal.
On this day you will enjoy your morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. You will then be transferred to Kasane Airport, for your light aircraft transfer into the Okavango Delta; he flight takes about 1 hour.
On arrival in the Delta, you will be met by our representative ranger and he transfers you to your lodge. After lunch you will take an afternoon game drive that will you the best of the delta but be back in good time for dinner and have the evening at leisure.
On this day, you ae free to enjoy the facility at the hotel but you will do a morning and evening game drive.
The Okavango Delta in Botswana with its richly diverse wildlife species is one of the premium destinations in the world for a dynamic safari experience. This 22,000 square kilometer area offers a truly unique wilderness safari in Africa. The Delta forms where the Okavango River disappears beneath the sands of Botswana. Although the periphery is semi-arid, the Okavango Delta itself is a patchwork of cool clear streams, lagoons, floodplains and forested islands. In the dry winter season vast numbers of wildlife flock to where the floodwaters infiltrate the delta, providing one of the world’s most spectacular sights.
The morning is at leisure and as you enjoy you’re last game drive and a hearty breakfast overlooking the bush. You will then be transferred to the airstrip for your local flight to Maun Airport which is about 20 minutes away and connect on your flight to Johannesburg which is about 1 hour away and connect back home.
