This morning, we retrace our way down the Great Rift Valley, and head south. After crossing the floor of the Great Rift Valley, we drive towards Narok, the principal town in the Maasai Mara area, and approach the Loita Plains, where it is possible to observe the circular manyattas (Maasai villages) before finally arriving at the great Serengeti plains, in whose northern part we find the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
You are expected in good time lunch and have the afternoon at leisure but later take an evening game drive but be back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
DINNER AND OVERNIGHT AT THE LODGE
On the day of your balloon flight, you will be picked from your camp at around 5AM to drive you to the launch site and arrive at the launch site by 6AM, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while you watch the balloons being prepared for take-off. You will then meet your pilot, who will give you a safety briefing as well as explain what you can expect during your flight.
Our breakfast is set up on the picturesque savannah plains of the Mara, typically under the shade of a single acacia tree. You will sit down to a full bush breakfast in the Kenyan style, complete with eggs-to-order, fresh juices, waiters in traditional Swahili attire, and, of course, champagne.
You will return to the lodge in good time for lunch and have the afternoon at leisure but later take an evening game drive but be back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
DINNER AND OVERNIGHT AT THE LODGE
During the first hours of the morning, the savannah is filled with a special animation. This is when the larger predators hunt for their food, before the temperature becomes too hot for any excessive physical activity. This is the time we have the highest chances of watching a hunt in action. The colors of the landscape are also more accentuated, and help us to take great photographs, we will depart for a full day game drive to the mara triangle where will have our packed lunch at a picnic site. We will continue with the game viewing until dusk but be back to the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

On this day, we depart from Masaimara and drive to Homa bay then head on to the Dramatic Valley of the Roan Antelope and Oribi commonly known as Ruma National Park.
The park originally referred to as the Labwe Valley was gazette mainly to protect the Roan Antelope. This antelope is one of Africa’s’ rarest antelopes and the third largest of Kenya’s antelopes. The other attraction is the small and graceful Oribi Antelope. You will also be able to see rare birds like the globally threatened blue swallow, a scarce intra-African migrant, is regularly recorded. Blue swallows, which depend upon moist grassland for both feeding and roosting, arrive in Kenya from their breeding grounds in Southern Tanzania around April and depart again in September. The park is a home to many other wild animals including the Roth’s child Giraffe, African Buffaloes and several birds’ species.
You will arrive at the hotel in Homa bay in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.
On this day, you will depart immediately after breakfast and embark on a 1 hour safari to Mbita gateway where you will take a causeway to Rusinga Island which is about 40 minutes away from Mbita.
On arrival at Rusinga Island, you will transfer you to your lodge where you will arrive for lunch and later have the rest of the afternoon at leisure enjoying the scenery and the amenities at the lodge.

For these two days, you will enjoy your stay at the lodge enjoying bird watching, the Lake, the scenery and you have an option of taking a boat ride, fishing or a visit to the local villages.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the port for your boat to Kisumu City. On arrival, you will check in to a mall for your lunch and later proceed for a city tour of Kisumu. This tour will take you to the Impala sanctuary, the Lake Victoria, the hippo point and Dunga beach.
Originally Port Florence, it was later named Kisumu, which is a Luo word Sumo meaning butter Trade. In 2001 Kisumu was elevated to a city, becoming third City in Kenya after Nairobi and Mombasa. In 2006 it was declared by the UN as the first millennium city. It is a clear indication that Kisumu has grown from a stopover city to a great tourist destination.

This day, you will have the morning at leisure and later be transferred to the airport for your afternoon flight back to Nairobi.
