Summary

This is an 8days/07 night’s safari follow in the footsteps of the world famous conservationists Joy and George Adamson and their famous lions in the diverse nature reserves of Kenya. This safari takes you to Meru National Park showing you its diverse range of habitats, the park is home to a range of wildlife. You will also experience the numerous endangered species inhabiting the wildlife stronghold of the Laikipia Plateau. Discover ageless natural cycles as masses of animals move through vast unfenced conservation areas in the renowned Masai Mara. Fo this safari, expect truly inspiring wildlife encounters, lovely accommodation, breathtaking vistas and delicious menus.

Day 1: Arrival

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative, who will transfer you to your Hotel and assist you at check in. You will have the rest of the day at Leisure.

Day 2: Nairobi - Meru National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your local flight to Mughwango Hill Airstrip. On arrival, you will be met by our representative and take a game drive as you drive on to the camp.

You will arrive in good time and have lunch and later take an evening game drive to show you the best of Meru National park. You will be back to the camp in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 3: Meru National Park.

On this day, you will take an early morning game drive then back to the camp for lunch and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You will later take an evening game drive but be back to the camp in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Today you also have options for a night game drive, fishing or nature walks.

Meru National Park is world famous as the place where Elsa the lioness was returned to the wild in Joy Adamson's book Born Free. Meru boasts the widest variety of landscapes and habitats of all Kenyan parks. Forest, swamp and savannah are pierced by 15 perennial rivers. This marvelous sanctuary contains a great variety of wildlife. All the Big Five can be seen and Meru is also well known for its cheetah and leopard.

Day 4: Meru National Park- Loisaba.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Loisaba Airstrip. On arrival at Loisaba, you will be met by our representative and take a game drive en route to the lodge.

You arrive in good time for lunch and have the afternoon at leisure. Later take an evening game rive and be back to the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 5: Loisaba

You will enjoy a morning and evening game drive and other activities and facilities offered by the lodge. The activities include bush walks, fishing, river canoeing (seasonal), cultural visits, mountain bike rides, tennis, crocquet and bocce.

The eastern escarpment of the Rift Valley, known as the Laikipia Plateau, is divided into enormous game reserves, which contain some of the most exclusive lodges in the remotest parts of Kenya. This enormous wildlife stronghold is notable for its select lodges, important ecosystem with large wildlife populations, and the fact that it is home to more endangered species than anywhere else in Africa.

Day 6: Loisaba - Mara National Game Reserve

Today, after enjoying your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival, you will be met by our driver guide who will drive you to the lodge as you enjoy game viewing en route.

Day 7: Mara National Game Reserve

On this day, after breakfast, you will embark on a full day game drive. This will show you the best of the Masai mara. You will take your packed lunch at a picnic site and continue with your game drive till dusk and return to the lodge in good time for your dinner and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Kenya's most renowned game park, the Masai Mara is situated on the northern border of Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. Its legendary Great Migration of over two million wildebeest and other antelope has been described as one of nature's greatest wildlife spectacles. Game viewing in this celebrated park is wonderful year round, with virtually guaranteed sightings of the Big Five. The park takes its name from the Mara River, which flows through the reserve and the Masai people.

Day 8: Departure

Today, you take an early morning game drive. You will return to the lodge in good time for breakfast and later be transferred to the air strip for your flight back to Nairobi. In Nairobi, you will be transferred to the international airport and connect on your flight back home.
