This 2 days/1 night tourthat take you to Hell's Gate National Park commonly referred to as a Walk on the Wild Side and the Crescent Island on Lake Naivasha and back to Nairobi.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi-Hells Gate National Park

You will be picked at around 0700 hrs. and begin with a drive north towards Lake Naivasha. Along the way you make a stopover for a breath taking views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpments. You will then proceed towards the lake town.

The Hell's Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa.

On arrival you will begin your hike within the park and can participate in many other activities including biking, the natural spa, and mountain climbing.

You will break for lunch at a restaurant where you will have an opportunity to sample regional cuisine and engage with the locals. Later you will head to the Elsmere Conservation Center on the shores of the lake and later be transferred to your hotel for the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 2: Naivasha-Nairobi

On this day, after breakfast, you will drive to the crescent Island and proceed for a foot walk on the island. The terrain is flat, making it easy for walkers of all abilities to enjoy themselves. There is a lot of easy to see games like Giraffes, waterbucks, Elands, wild beasts, Zebras and Impalas.

Crescent Island was created in 1988, when Lake Naivasha dropped sufficiently to allow Crescent Island become part of the mainland. On the Eastern end of the island, sailing is possible at a private boating club. The Island is also a heaven for birds with over 200 species. The lake has a lot of hippos, which you can easily spot from the island. Among the resident birds are fish eagle, ospreys, lilly-trotters, blake crakes and variety of herons. A number of mammals can be seen grazing in the surrounding lake environs, such as zebras, impala, buffalo, giraffe, kongoni and at night hippos.

After the walk, we proceed for lunch at the lodge. Immediately after lunch, we take a boat ride of Lake Naivasha. This is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus is almost 13kms across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five meters. The waters of the lake draw a great range of the shores.

You will return to the shore in good time for your trip back to Nairobi. In Nairobi, you will be dropped at a central location at the city Centre,

You will later embark onto your car and drive back to Nairobi and be taken to the location of your choice.
